CWS acrylic porch enclosures

Clear rigid acrylic with fixed and operable configurations.

CWS acrylic panels offer a clear, rigid alternative to flexible-vinyl porch windows and glass. Fixed panels and horizontal sliders can be combined around the porch layout and desired ventilation.

Completed Fuquay-Varina project

Mostly fixed acrylic with upper horizontal sliders.

This CWS acrylic porch enclosure uses clear acrylic panels in white aluminum frames. Most visible panels are fixed. Operable horizontal sliders in selected upper sections provide ventilation without making every opening operable.

The panel layout follows the porch openings and coordinates the desired view, ventilation and enclosure door.

These views show how the white aluminum framing follows each wall of the existing porch. Large clear acrylic sections remain fixed, while horizontal sliders are placed in selected upper openings for ventilation.

Material distinction

Acrylic is rigid, but it is not glass.

CWS acrylic

Rigid clear panels

Clear acrylic panels hold their shape and can be used in fixed or operable configurations. They require material-appropriate cleaning and care to limit scratching.

Project planning

Coordinate the panels, ventilation and door.

Opening sizes, existing framing, fixed-panel locations, operable-slider locations, frame color, ventilation goals, door swing and maintenance preferences should be considered together before fabrication.
